Between a Rock and a Hard Place

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I said my New Year’s resolution was (about not being scared and afraid) and I’ve realized that I have no idea how to not be scared. I mean that not in the irrational fears way, which we all have, but in the sense of putting myself out there, taking risks, being completely myself all the time, and really getting close to people and risking getting hurt by someone. I want that to change, but I honestly don’t know if it can. If you’re going to comment negative and cliche BS, then don’t bother commenting. I know it’s me who needs to change, but I have no clue how to.

And she’s supposed to give a shit about Klaus’ feelings because??

Right? People act as if Caroline’s love for Klaus exists. On top of that she’s been using Klaus for….a good while now so I dunno where confessor is going with this. Caroline loves Tyler and has loved Tyler for a while now. What are people expecting?

THIS. I always say, it’s not the shipping of Klaroline that’s the problem. It’s the EXPECTATIONS of Klaroline that I’ll never get, pssh, in some cases, the veritable entitlement to it NOW.
I can understand the feeling when it feels like the writer has betrayed you, but I tend to feel that when the writer has reniged on the narrative promissory note of emotional realism and comprehensible characterization (even through character CHANGE, it needs to be retraceable—how they got from a to b)…In this case, where the writers have given us no reason for us to believe that she doesn’t love Tyler, no LASTING conflict that would shake her loyalty to him, no indication that her love for him has abated…no indication that Klaus is a threat to those feelings, no indications that her dealings with Klaus were little more than a means to an end, and later, (horribly-written) compassion, then I say…what is the what here? They have created no entry point to reasonably expect Caroline to be romantically interested in Klaus AT THIS TIME.
And P.S., after the lamp to the gut incident (including skewering, biting, and dropping her on the floor like he’d just finished his kebab, USING HER in the worst way to get back at TYLER, like she was nothing more than a tool), I’d say she can do whatever the hell she wants to him and more… and she still would OWE HIM NOTHING. He’s the enemy, and she smartly USED her knowledge of his feelings to talk him out of killing her, and she doesn’t owe him for THAT either. HE should be making up for it, not her. (No amt of dresses is gonna do it). And she’s aware that if he really wanted to make her happy, he would let her boyfriend come back home to stay.
Lol, @ ”all the important things he was doing.” And he merely let her have a dress from the closet…he didn’t sew and bead the damn thing…or maybe he did. Maybe he altered it for her, hemming and stitching so it would fit just right for her big night. NOW, I see why the confessor is upset that she didn’t just forget about her boyf after all that.

Yes, I remember now…

Storylines can never be written to change and create progression and writers cannot make any different decisions whatsoever if they feel a new storyline might be worthwhile.

There’s been no talk of it this season, especially not from Stefan.
